Dr. Ruth Dean, baby specialist, has opened offices in the First National Bank Building for the practice of medicine in Greenwood.
Dr. Dean is a sister of Mr. Tom Dean and was reared in this city. She has been in the study of her profession for a number of years, having graduated from the University of Virginia.
For the past two years, she has been with a childrens hospital in Denver, Colorado, and prior to that time was connected with a Womans and Childrens hospital in Boston, Massachusetts for a year.

Bids were received yesterday by Architect R. J. Moor for an office building to be erected by Dr. J. P. Kennedy. Contracts will be let within the next few days.
The new building will be used as an office building by Dr. Kennedy and will be located on Washington Street, opposite the First Baptist Church.
The building will be one-story with basement, 40 x 100 feet, of brick, hollow tile and stucco, with reinforced concrete foundation, built with composition roof, pine and oak floors, plastered interior, metal ceiling and steel and iron work.
