NEW STATION FOR GREENWOOD

All is in readiness to begin actual excavation work and foundation laying for the new $60,000 station which the Yazoo & Mississippi Valley Railroad is to build here. The old station has been moved southward the full length of the building and now occupies the sites recently occupied by warehouses, which were removed to make room for the new station. The old station will be used as the freight depot after the new station is completed. The new station will be one of the handsomest on the lines of the Illinois Central Railroad in a town the size of Greenwood, and will far surpass any station on the Yazoo & Mississippi Valley or Illinois Central lines between Memphis and New Orleans.
