Greenwood Colored College
Greenwood Colored College
The Greenwood Colored College, under the management of Prof. W. T. Burnsides, is now in full operation. Besides the day pupils from the town and surrounding country, they have some fifteen or twenty boarders who have come to take advantage of the educational facilities it offers. The buildings are now almost completed. The chapel hall and recitation rooms are large and commodious while the dormitory, another small frame building here the boarding students stay, is well and conveniently arranged for their care and attention. There is no reason why the college, under as intelligent colored educator as Prof. Burnsides, should not be a success.

The Greenwood College is one of the few colored schools of this section of the state. The dormitory is now ready for the caring of students who desire board and is under the control of capable people. The next session of the college will, from present indications, have a large attendance.
