In behalf of the Catholics of Greenwood and in my own behalf, I beg to thank most cordially the generous and liberal citizens of Greenwood for the substantial material aid they have so kindly given us toward the erection of our church. After such unequivocal manifestation of tolerance and generosity, it is necessary to add that the doors of the Catholic Church will be always open to the good citizens of Greenwood.

Ground has been broken for an addition to repairs and remodeling of the Catholic Church, and construction work is now underway.
An addition to the front of the church building will be erected of brick veneer, extending some twelve feet further toward Washington Street than the present church, and six feet wider than the present building. The entire church building will be veneered with brick, and will present an imposing and beautiful appearance when the work is completed.
The entire interior of the church will be remodeled and the addition will enlarge the seating capacity for a hundred more people than at the present time. In addition to work on the church, a new organ will be installed.
